Not sure even I would go that far but I would certainly agree that the sceptics are massively in the majority and have been for years.

All I have ever asked for is a vote after the EU has decided what it is going to become and the powers that are going to be returned to Britain. That remains my position.
What price solidarity ? 2012-06-18T15:56:34Z https://www.treffpunkteuropa.de/What-price-solidarity,04961#comment13936 2012-06-18T15:56:34Z
Thanks for your comments I want out- please note the use of the words 'has been' in the article above.
What price solidarity ? 2012-05-17T19:49:33Z https://www.treffpunkteuropa.de/What-price-solidarity,04961#comment13268 2012-05-17T19:49:33Z
Just a quick comment on the sentence “Britain has been riven by deep divisions amongst its population on how to engage with Europe.”

Eurobarometer polls consistently show the UK as having the least belief in Europe, so we have 22% seeing the EU positively and only 41% even feel European. (Figures I would suggest have crashed since August last year when these were produced.)

Approximately half the population want to leave the EU and about a quarter want to stay in, so a 2 : 1 majority want out ; hence the reason why despite 70%+ wanting a referendum it is never “the right time.” (As for joining the Euro 80%+ against). Factoring in the percentage of people who want just a trading agreement with the EU, repatriating powers to the UK then the number who would vote to loosen the links rises to 75%, a pretty massive majority.

Give us a vote absolutely.
